@Omphalographer: File:Infinity and beyond - If you believed they put a train on the moon.jpg is a definite keep in my opinion because the idea of trains on the moon is widely covered in sources 1, 2, 3. Whilst not explicitly mentioned in the 1895 novel From the Earth to the Moon, it is mentioned on page 160 of a 2005 translation of the novel by Edward Roth (screenshot). - This seems like a stretch. While trains on the moon have occasionally been proposed, they're hardly a common topic of discussion in need of illustration; note the absence of Wikipedia articles for en:Moon train, en:Space train, or similar topics. And that particular image wouldn't even be useful in such an article, as it clearly depicts an antique steam locomotive which would be of no use in space. Keep I can't see anything wrong with these, or why things like trains bridges or boats are out of scope. They show where Ai generated image technology was at the time of their creation Oxyman (talk) 14:13, 2 January 2025 (UTC)
- This principle has been roundly rejected in numerous previous DRs. While a limited number of AI-generated images may be useful to demonstrate the capabilities of image generation tools, this doesn't mean that every AI-generated image is in scope. Moreover, the author of these images didn't provide any information on how they were generated, with what tools, or whether they were retouched afterwards - making them effectively unusable for this purpose.
